WHO WE ARE
The PFC Joseph P. Dwyer Peer Support Program brings United States Armed Forces Veterans, service members and their families together through free Veteran-to-Veteran collaborative services, social activities, and community service, easing the transition from military to Veteran life.
This program is supported by the New York State Senate as well as the Yates County Veterans Service Agency and is managed by Veterans One-stop Center of WNY.
The Yates County Peer Support Specialist is Amanda Hayes.

WHAT WE DO
Building connections. Changing lives.

Veteran Peer Support
We strive to provide a comfortable, welcoming, and safe atmosphere at all of our events. You answered our Nation's call, and as a very small token of our appreciation, we would like to offer Veterans free and fun activities and opportunities to connect with one another.

One-on-One Meetings
While our goal is to get every Veteran in Yates County to feel comfortable attending our events, we understand that that simply is not always the case.
Whether you're going through a tough time, and need assistance, or you simply want to chat with our Peer Support Specialist over a cup of coffee, contact Amanda at ahayes@vocwny.org or (716) 313-2242 to ask for an individual meeting.

Family-Friendly Events
It is no secret that Yates County values family living, and quality connections. Whether you have family members who have been deployed, who have returned from service, or are preparing for a deployment, we are here to support you. We connect military families to one another in a safe space using fun activities, and family-centered events. No family is ever turned away.
