ABOUT YATES COUNTY
PFC JOSEPH P. DWYER
PEER SUPPORT PROGRAM
Honoring the memory of PFC Joseph P. Dwyer and his legacy of service, the mission of our PFC Joseph P. Dwyer Peer Support Program is to empower Veterans and their family members to find passion, purpose and hope as they transition from military to civilian life.

OUR LOCAL HERO
James Hayes joined the military upon completion of high school after the attacks on September 11, 2001. SGT Hayes deployed three times in support of the Global War on Terrorism and served our Nation honorably.
Upon returning home, SGT Hayes began to struggle, and was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress (PTS/PTSD). Unfortunately, in August 2020, we lost our brother to his battles. It is in his honor, that we make it our mission to provide every Veteran in our county with a safe, comfortable, and welcoming space.
We realize that every Veteran is unique; however, we also know that there is power in connecting through shared experiences, and we are more alike than we are different. Building camaraderie through those common bonds can make all the difference when a Veteran is struggling.
We kept each other safe while serving. It is our duty to continue watching out for one another.
